About the opportunity:
We seek an experienced Security Engineer to join our team and take on a pivotal role in protecting sensitive data across large-scale systems. This position involves close collaboration with one of our clients, a leading multinational finance company.
This is a hybrid opportunity to work in Oakland, CA, or Charlotte, NC, 2-3x at the office.
Responsibilities:
- Triage vulnerabilities reported from existing Google DLP scan runs for BigQuery, including evaluating events and eliminating false positives.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, encompassing analysis, decisions on each finding, SQL queries used, and screenshots of the analysis/findings.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to remediate valid vulnerabilities and propose configuration improvements.
- Deliver technical briefings to internal teams to share insights and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge with SQL and BigQuery.
- Proactive professional with excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Team player who thrives in collaborative and dynamic environments.
- Skilled at translating complex technical challenges into practical, documented solutions.
